Sukhwinder Singh  is an Indian Bollywood playback singer.

Singh is famous for singing "Chaiyya Chaiyya" for which he won the Best Male Playback Award at the 1999 Filmfare Awards.

The song, from Mani Ratnam's 1998 film Dil Se.., was composed by A. R. Rahman, written by Gulzar, and sung in duet with Sapna

Awasthi.

It was also featured in the musical Bombay Dreams and, in remixed arrangements, in the titles and credits segments of Spike Lee's

2006 film, Inside Man.

Singh later gained more international fame for singing "Jai Ho" from the film Slumdog Millionaire, which won an Academy Award for

Best Original Song and a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.

His rendition for the 2014 released film Haider fetched him the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer.

Singh originally comes from Amritsar, Punjab.

He first performed on stage at the age of 8, singing the Kishore Kumar & Lata Mangeshkar number "Sa re ga ma pa, pa, pa, ga ma re, ga

re mere sang mere saajna", from the 1970 movie Abhinetri.

He also released a Punjabi album called Munda Southhall Da with T. Singh joined Laxmikant-Pyarelal’s troupe and quickly became a

music arranger, before heading to the south of India to look for work.

At this time he did a film called Rakshakudu.

Singh got his break in the movie Karma, in which he sang a few lines; then he did a Madhuri Dixit film called Khilaaf, in which he sang

the hit song "Aa ja Sanam".

But the singer realised that something was missing in his voice, took a sabbatical and left Mumbai to tour England and America to see,

hear and understand various forms of music.

After this broadening of his musical horizons, he returned to Mumbai to kick-start his musical career.

His first effort in Hindi films, Aaja Sanam, went largely unnoticed, even though the music carried the names of Laxmikant-Pyarelal.

Then for Dil Se... A. R. Rahman used Sukhwinder for "Chaiyya Chaiyya".

The other films that followed – including Taal, Biwi No. 1, 1947 Earth, Daag, Jaanwar, Dillagi, Moksha, Thakshak, Tere Naam, Apna

Sapna Money Money, Shadi Se Pehle, Shabd, Chak de! India, Om Shanti Om and Black and White- that have made him a household name.

He has been well received for providing playback singing for Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan in a total of 7 songs.

Of these, "Chaiyya Chaiyya" from Dil Se.., "Dard-E-Disco" from Om Shanti Om, "Chak De India" from Chak De! India, "Haule Haule"

from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, "Marjaani" from Billu and "satak le" from Happy New Year have become certified hits.

Singh has provided playback for many notable Bollywood heroes including Salman Khan, Sharukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, Anil Kapoor,

Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgan, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Tusshar Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Sanjay Dutt, Bobby

Sunidhi Chauhan is an Indian playback singer.

Born in Delhi, she began performing in local gatherings at the age of four and made her career debut at the age of 13, with the film

Shastra (1996).

During the year, she won the first singing reality show titled Meri Awaz Suno.

She rose to prominence after recording "Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi" from Mast (1999), ultimately winning the Filmfare RD Burman Award

for New Music Talent and was nominated for the Best Female Playback Singer.

Her second breakthrough was released in 2000, with the song "Mehboob Mere", for which she received another Filmfare nomination.

Through her career, she performed mostly item songs and was described in the media as the "queen of item songs".

Chauhan received her third Filmfare nomination with the song "Dhoom Machale" (2004) followed by two more nominations during the

next year for "Kaisi Paheli" and "Deedar De".

2006 was one of the most successful years in her career, where she was bestowed with her first Filmfare award for her rendition of

the song "Beedi" and further two nominations for "Soniye" and "Aashiqui Main".

The following year, she was prominently recognized for the title song of Aaja Nachle (2007) and "Sajnaaji Vaari", both critically and

commercially well received.

Chauhan received her 12th Filmfare nomination with "Chor Bazaari" (2009) preceded by "Dance Pe Chance" (2008).

2010 marked her International singing debut, where she was featured in the song "Heartbeat" alongside Enrique Iglesias.

During the year, she received her second Filmfare award with the item song "Sheila Ki Jawani" (2010) and was nominated for

international styled carnival song "Udi" (2010).

In the year, Chauhan appeared as a judge in the 5th season of the Indian television music competition, Indian Idol followed by its 6th

season during the year 2012.

She also served as a coach in the Indian version of the The Voice.

Being an inspiration to many upcoming singers, her work has received praise from veteran artists and some of her contemporary singers.

Shreya Ghoshal is an Indian playback singer.

She has received four National Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards, five for Best Female Playback and one for Best New Talent in 2003,

and eight Filmfare Awards South till date.

She has recorded songs for film music in various Indian languages, and has established herself as a leading playback singer of Indian

cinema.

Ghoshal aspired to become a playback singer from a young age.

At the age of sixteen, she was noticed by film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali when she participated and won the television singing reality

show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Following that, she made her Bollywood playback singing debut with Bhansali's romantic drama Devdas (2002) for which she received a

Arijit Singh is an Indian playback singer and a music programmer. Born in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, his career began upon

participating in the reality show Fame Gurukul (2005), in which he lost at the finals.

After winning another reality show called 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil, Singh built a recording setup of his own, beginning his journey with

music programming. Subsequently, he went to become as an assistant music programmer to Pritam Chakraborty, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy,

Vishal-Shekhar and Mithoon.

Singh rose to widespread prominence and became a household name with the release of "Tum Hi Ho" from Aashiqui 2 (2013).

He was given the Best Male Playback Singer award for the song, in 59th Filmfare Awards. In 2014, he collaborated with Jeet

Gannguli—for whom he performed the rest of his tracks in Aashiqui 2 —for CityLights, where he rendered the romantic version of the

song "Muskurane", which fetched him most nominations in the year.

Gannguli composed Suno Na Sangemarmar and Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy's Sufi song, Mast Magan garnered him another two nominations in

60th Filmfare Awards.
